¿Qué es un travel lift y cómo funciona?

El término travel lift —también conocido como grúa portuaria de varada o grúa de pórtico móvil— designa una máquina autopropulsada dotada de dos vigas laterales y un sistema de eslingas que permite izar embarcaciones directamente desde el agua y transportarlas hasta la zona de almacenamiento en tierra. Es el equipo de varada más extendido en los astilleros y marinas profesionales de España y de toda Europa, especialmente para embarcaciones de entre 5 y 25 metros de eslora, aunque los modelos de mayor capacidad llegan a trabajar con buques de varios centenares de toneladas.

El principio de funcionamiento es sencillo: la máquina circula sobre cuatro o más ruedas de neumáticos de gran sección, lo que le permite desplazarse tanto por el muelle como por la explanada del astillero. Las eslingas —bandas de poliéster de alta tenacidad o cables de acero forrado— se colocan bajo el casco en dos puntos predefinidos: generalmente en la zona de proa y en la de popa, respetando siempre el soporte de quilla y los apéndices del casco (orza, timón, hélices de proa). El operador eleva la embarcación con suavidad hasta sacarla del agua y, a continuación, la traslada andando sobre las ruedas hasta el punto de destino en el área de varado.

Importante aclaración de alcance: el travel lift es un equipo de terceros fabricantes (marcas como Cimolai Technology, Marine Travelift o Acamar, entre otras). KIPAC no fabrica travel lifts ni grúas de varada. El travel lift es el método preferido cuando se busca precisión y rapidez, especialmente en embarcaciones de vela con orza profunda o quillas bulbo, donde la rampa presenta mayores dificultades de maniobrabilidad. La rampa, sin embargo, sigue siendo la opción más económica y accesible en instalaciones de menor tamaño o para embarcaciones de pequeña eslora que no justifican el coste del travel lift.

El proceso de varada con travel lift: paso a paso

Entender la secuencia completa de una varada con travel lift permite al armador anticiparse a cada fase y evitar sorpresas. El proceso, aunque varía ligeramente de un astillero a otro, sigue siempre el mismo orden lógico.

1. Coordinación previa con el astillero. Antes del día de la varada, el armador confirma fecha, hora y slot disponible. El astillero solicita datos básicos: eslora total, manga, calado, desplazamiento y tipo de casco. Con esta información, el operador del travel lift selecciona las eslingas adecuadas y prepara la explanada reservando el espacio necesario para los caballetes.

2. Llegada y posicionamiento en el muelle de varada. La embarcación llega a motor o remolcada hasta el finger o el área de espera designada. El operador del travel lift sitúa la máquina abierta sobre el muelle de varada —una zona de agua protegida con paredes guía— y el patrón maniobra la embarcación para quedar centrada entre las dos vigas del pórtico.

3. Colocación de las eslingas. Con la embarcación inmovilizada mediante cabos, los operarios colocan las eslingas bajo el casco. Esta es la fase más delicada: las eslingas deben situarse en los puntos de apoyo estructural indicados por el fabricante de la embarcación, evitando orzas, tomas de agua, transductores y cualquier apéndice frágil. En embarcaciones de quilla, la eslinga de popa suele ir justo por delante del timón y la de proa entre el 30 y el 40 % de la eslora desde la proa.

4. Elevación y control visual. El operador del travel lift eleva la embarcación lentamente. Durante los primeros centímetros de elevación, el personal de tierra verifica que las eslingas no presionen indebidamente el casco y que la embarcación quede nivelada transversalmente. Si hay escora, se ajusta la tensión de cada eslinga antes de continuar.

5. Traslado hasta la explanada. Una vez la embarcación está completamente fuera del agua, el travel lift avanza rodando hasta el área de almacenamiento. En esta fase ya deben estar los caballetes o el sistema de soporte definitivo colocados y ajustados en su posición.

6. Descenso y entrega a los caballetes. El travel lift baja la embarcación milímetro a milímetro hasta que los soportes toman la carga. El operario comprueba que todos los apoyos estén firmes, que la embarcación esté nivelada y que no haya movimiento. Solo entonces se retiran las eslingas. La varada ha concluido: a partir de este momento, los caballetes KIPAC son los únicos responsables de la seguridad estructural de la embarcación.

Checklist del armador antes de la varada

Una preparación cuidadosa el día anterior —o incluso con varios días de antelación— marca la diferencia entre una varada limpia y una jornada llena de imprevistos. El siguiente listado recoge las comprobaciones más importantes que todo armador debe realizar antes de llevar su embarcación al travel lift.

Documentación y coordinación administrativa: Confirma la cita con el astillero y asegúrate de que el seguro de la embarcación cubre la varada y el almacenamiento en tierra. Lleva consigo el certificado de matrícula, el seguro en vigor y cualquier documentación técnica relevante (planos de cuadernas o puntos de apoyo recomendados por el astillero o el fabricante del casco).

Preparación mecánica: Repliega la transmisión de cola o el trim tab si la embarcación dispone de transmisión articulada (fueraborda o intraborda con cola). Eleva el motor fueraborda a la posición de máximo trimado. Verifica que el timón y la hélice están libres de objetos y algas. Cierra todas las tomas de mar y los grifos de fondo. Vacía el agua del circuito de refrigeración si la varada precede a un período de invernaje.

Marcado de posiciones de las eslingas: Consulta con el astillero o con el fabricante del casco los puntos exactos donde deben apoyar las eslingas. En muchos astilleros se pide al armador que marque con cinta de carrocero el casco en los puntos de apoyo. Registra también la posición de los soportes de quilla y de los caballetes laterales que usarás durante el almacenamiento.

Vaciado y orden interior: Retira del interior todo el peso innecesario: bidones de combustible portátiles, anclas adicionales, cadenas sueltas, víveres y equipos de buceo. Una embarcación más ligera facilita el trabajo del travel lift y reduce el riesgo de desplazamiento de cargas durante el izado.

Verificación del casco: Aprovecha para hacer una inspección visual del casco por la banda de flotación: anota previamente cualquier abolladura, grieta o daño existente, con fotografías fechadas, para poder distinguirlo de posibles daños producidos durante la varada. Conviene comunicar estas incidencias previas al responsable del astillero antes de comenzar la operación.

Una vez el travel lift ha depositado la embarcación en la explanada del astillero, comienza la fase de almacenamiento en tierra: la más larga y, en muchos casos, la más descuidada. La disposición correcta de los caballetes —número de puntos de apoyo, distancia entre ellos y ángulo de los tacos laterales— depende del tipo de casco, el peso y la duración del almacenamiento. Para embarcaciones de quilla, el soporte de quilla central debe tomar la mayor parte del peso; los caballetes laterales trabajan principalmente para evitar el vuelco. En embarcaciones de fondo plano o multicasco, la distribución de la carga es más uniforme y puede requerir un mayor número de puntos de apoyo.

Problemas frecuentes durante la varada y cómo prevenirlos

La varada con travel lift es una operación generalmente segura cuando se ejecuta por personal experimentado y con el equipo adecuado. Sin embargo, existen incidencias recurrentes que conviene conocer para prevenirlas o para saber cómo actuar si se producen.

Marcas de eslingas en el casco. Las eslingas de poliéster, especialmente cuando están sucias o endurecidas por el uso, pueden dejar marcas en la pintura de antifouling o incluso en el gelcoat de cascos de fibra de vidrio. Para minimizar este riesgo, algunos astilleros utilizan eslingas forradas con material blando o colocan protectores de neopreno en los puntos de contacto. Si detectas marcas tras la varada, fotografíalas de inmediato y comunícalo al astillero.

Posicionamiento incorrecto de los caballetes. Uno de los errores más comunes —y potencialmente más graves— es colocar los caballetes en puntos del casco que no están reforzados estructuralmente. Esto puede provocar deformaciones en la fibra de vidrio que no son visibles de inmediato pero que se manifiestan semanas después. Conviene acordar siempre con el astillero el plano de disposición de los soportes antes del descenso.

Desnivelación de la embarcación. Si los caballetes no están perfectamente nivelados o si el terreno de la explanada presenta irregularidades, la embarcación puede quedar con escora. Además del aspecto visual, una escora mantenida durante semanas puede afectar al sellado de las tomas de mar, a la estanqueidad de las escotillas y, en embarcaciones de madera, a los trabajos de calafateo. Utiliza un nivel de burbuja sobre la cubierta para verificar el asentamiento tras la varada.

Daños en apéndices durante el izado. Orzas de lastre, timones, hélices de proa y bocinas son los elementos más vulnerables durante el izado si las eslingas no se colocan correctamente. Antes de comenzar la operación, señala claramente al operario del travel lift la posición exacta de todos los apéndices del casco.

Movimiento de la embarcación en tierra por viento o vibraciones. En zonas costeras con rachas de viento intenso, una embarcación alta y estrecha puede sufrir movimientos en los caballetes si estos no están suficientemente bloqueados. Costes de varada en las marinas españolas: qué factores influyen en el precio

El coste de una varada con travel lift en España varía considerablemente en función del tipo de instalación, la zona geográfica, la eslora y el desplazamiento de la embarcación y la época del año. Conocer los factores que determinan el precio ayuda al armador a presupuestar correctamente y a evitar sorpresas en la factura.

Eslora total y manga. La tarifa base de la mayoría de astilleros españoles se calcula en función de la eslora total de la embarcación (LOA). Los tramos habituales son: menos de 8 m, de 8 a 12 m, de 12 a 18 m y más de 18 m. Algunos astilleros añaden un suplemento por manga cuando supera los 3,5 o los 4 metros, ya que obliga a utilizar eslingas más largas o un travel lift de mayor anchura.

Desplazamiento y tipo de casco. Las embarcaciones de gran desplazamiento requieren eslingas certificadas para mayor carga y operaciones más lentas, lo que se refleja en el precio. Los cascos con orza profunda (quilla bulbo, quilla espada) suelen generar un suplemento por la complejidad del posicionamiento.

Estacionalidad. En los puertos del Mediterráneo español, la temporada de varadas de otoño (octubre-noviembre) y la de primavera (marzo-abril) concentran la mayor demanda, lo que en ocasiones se traduce en tarifas ligeramente superiores o en plazos de espera más largos. Varar en invierno o en verano puede resultar más económico si el astillero tiene capacidad disponible.

Servicios adicionales incluidos. La tarifa de varada suele cubrir únicamente el izado y el traslado hasta el punto de almacenamiento. El alquiler de caballetes, la limpieza de obra viva con agua a presión (que en muchos puertos es obligatoria antes de salir del agua), el almacenamiento diario o mensual y los trabajos de mantenimiento se facturan por separado. Conviene solicitar un desglose completo antes de confirmar la operación.

Como referencia orientativa, y sin que constituya una tarifa oficial, en puertos deportivos del Mediterráneo español una varada para una embarcación de 10 metros puede situarse entre 150 y 350 euros solo por la operación de izado, a los que se suman entre 5 y 15 euros diarios de estancia en tierra, según la zona. Estos valores son meramente indicativos; conviene consultar directamente con el astillero.

Confirmar cita y datos técnicos

Notifica al astillero la eslora total, manga, calado, desplazamiento y tipo de casco con al menos 48 horas de antelación para que preparen las eslingas y el espacio en la explanada.

Revisar el seguro

Verifica que la póliza de seguro de la embarcación cubre la varada, el traslado en el astillero y el almacenamiento en tierra. Conviene consultar con la aseguradora si hay dudas sobre las coberturas.

Replegar transmisiones y elevar motores

Repliega la transmisión de cola o la transmisión articulada a su posición de máximo trimado. Eleva los motores fueraborda. Asegúrate de que timón y hélices están libres de obstáculos.

Cerrar todas las tomas de mar

Cierra los grifos de fondo y las tomas de mar antes de la varada para evitar derrames. Vacía los circuitos de refrigeración si la estancia en tierra se prolongará durante el período de invernaje.

Marcar los puntos de apoyo de eslingas

Señala con cinta de carrocero de color visible los puntos del casco donde deben apoyar las eslingas, respetando los apéndices (orza, timón, transductores, tomas de agua). Comunica estas posiciones al operario del travel lift.

Fotografiar el estado del casco

Realiza un reportaje fotográfico completo del casco antes de la varada, con fecha y hora, para documentar el estado previo y poder distinguirlo de posibles daños producidos durante la operación.

Acordar el plano de caballetes con el astillero

Confirma con el responsable del astillero cuántos caballetes se utilizarán, en qué posiciones y si el sistema de soporte cuenta con documentación CE disponible. Esto es especialmente importante para estancias largas.

Reducir el peso interior

Retira del interior de la embarcación todo el peso innecesario: bidones de combustible portátiles, anclas adicionales, cadenas y equipos prescindibles. Una embarcación más ligera facilita el izado y reduce el riesgo de desplazamiento de cargas.

Preparar documentación de a bordo

Lleva al astillero el certificado de matrícula y el seguro en vigor. Si dispones de planos técnicos del fabricante con los puntos de apoyo recomendados, entrégaselos al operario antes de comenzar la varada.

¿Pueden vararse embarcaciones pequeñas con travel lift?

Sí, aunque no es lo habitual. El travel lift está optimizado para embarcaciones de entre 6 y 25 metros de eslora. Para embarcaciones más pequeñas (menos de 5 m), la mayoría de astilleros utiliza la rampa de botadura o un travel lift de menor porte, ya que resulta más rápido y económico. Si tu embarcación es pequeña y el astillero solo dispone de travel lift de gran capacidad, consulta con el responsable si es operativamente viable: la longitud mínima de las eslingas puede ser mayor que la eslora de tu barco.

¿Cuánto tiempo dura una varada con travel lift?

La operación en sí —desde que la embarcación entra en el área de varada hasta que está depositada sobre los caballetes en la explanada— suele durar entre 15 y 45 minutos en condiciones normales, dependiendo de la eslora, la complejidad del casco y la experiencia del equipo del astillero. A este tiempo hay que añadir el de espera si hay otras embarcaciones antes en la cola, el de limpieza de obra viva con agua a presión (obligatorio en muchos puertos antes de salir del agua) y el de ajuste final de los caballetes.

¿Qué ocurre si mi embarcación supera la capacidad del travel lift del astillero?

Si el desplazamiento o la manga de tu embarcación superan la capacidad del travel lift disponible en el astillero, tienes varias opciones: buscar un astillero con maquinaria de mayor capacidad (los puertos de mayor tamaño suelen disponer de travel lifts de 200 toneladas o más), valorar la varada mediante grúa de tierra con eslingas o, en casos extremos, el varado mediante dique seco. Conviene consultar con varios astilleros de la zona con antelación suficiente, especialmente en temporada alta, cuando los slots de varada se copan con rapidez.

¿El travel lift puede dañar el casco de mi barco?

Un travel lift bien operado y con eslingas en buen estado raramente daña el casco. Los daños más habituales son marcas superficiales en la pintura de antifouling o, en casos de mala práctica, presión excesiva sobre zonas no reforzadas. Para minimizar el riesgo, señala previamente los puntos de apoyo de las eslingas, comunica al operario la posición de todos los apéndices y verifica visualmente la colocación de las eslingas antes del izado. ¿Qué tipo de caballetes debo usar una vez el travel lift deja el barco en tierra?

El tipo de soporte depende del casco. Para embarcaciones de quilla, se combinan un soporte central de quilla —que toma la mayor parte del peso— con caballetes laterales regulables para evitar el vuelco. Para embarcaciones de fondo plano o de quilla retráctil, se utilizan caballetes de mayor superficie de apoyo distribuidos uniformemente. La normativa europea no establece una obligación universal explícita de certificación CE para todos los equipos de soporte en varaderos. Sin embargo, cuando se exige documentación CE —por ejemplo, en licitaciones públicas, auditorías de seguros o contratos con armadores exigentes— contar con caballetes con documentación CE disponible refuerza la posición del astillero ante aseguradoras y clientes. No. El elevador hidráulico para barcos KIPAC es un sistema de soporte y nivelación en tierra: se utiliza para elevar, ajustar o nivelar la embarcación una vez que ya ha sido extraída del agua mediante el travel lift u otro sistema de varada. No es un equipo de extracción del agua. Su función es facilitar los trabajos de mantenimiento en tierra —pintado de obra viva, cambio de ánodos, inspecciones de casco— permitiendo modificar la altura o la inclinación de la embarcación sin necesidad de recurrir al travel lift para cada ajuste.

Payment: Payment is required following the agreed terms. Spinea Navis retains ownership of the delivered goods until payment is completed in full.

Delivery Terms and Penalties: Delivery terms are Ex-Works from the Spinea Navis factory, located at 10000 Zagreb, Croatia. The buyer assumes all risks and responsibilities associated with the transportation of goods. Upon notification, the buyer is required to accept the prepared order within 10 days. Failure to do so may result in Spinea Navis imposing a daily penalty. Shipping and Packaging: All machines undergo inspection, testing, and proper packaging before shipment. Certain machines may be delivered partially disassembled for storage or transportation purposes. In these instances, the buyer is responsible for covering the costs associated with assembly or packaging.

Warranty: Spinea Navis provides a twenty-four-month warranty on new goods of its manufacture, starting from the delivery date. The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear of parts (subject to rapid and consistent wear), including filters, flails, bearings, wear stripes, belts, cables, hoses, transmission parts, etc.

During these twelve months, Spinea Navis d.o.o commits to replacing, free of charge, parts verified as defective by their technical and service department. Other costs, such as labour, transport, and packaging, remain the buyer’s responsibility.

Warranty Invalidation: The warranty is invalidated by:

  • Incorrect or improper use of the machine
  • Unauthorized modifications to the machine
  • User negligence or inexperience (e.g., not using original Spinea Navis  parts)
  • Insufficient service inspections and improper use under difficult conditions or inconsistent instructions due to unauthorized interventions
  • Using the machine in a manner not compliant with the instructions for use and maintenance
  • Using non-original spare parts
  • Using unspecified, non-prescribed lubricants
  • Failing to perform scheduled maintenance 
  • Repairs not conducted by an authorized workshop or interventions without prior permission from Spinea Navis 
  • Unauthorized electrical and/or mechanical changes
  • Damages due to loss of earnings, personal property, exchanges, or rents

The seller is not liable for any direct and/or indirect loss or damage, particularly concerning production loss due to machine failure resulting from improper use, unintended use, failure to perform inspections, and non-compliance with accident prevention laws. Such grounds are sufficient for the annulment and invalidation of any applicable warranty. During the machine’s inactivity period, the customer cannot claim compensation and/or reimbursement of costs and/or direct and/or indirect damage resulting from defects due to the aforementioned repairs and/or replacement. This also applies to damage caused by improper handling, storage, assembly, external influences, weather, or force majeure (e.g., natural disasters).

Replaced parts remain the property of the seller and must be returned to the buyer with postage and paid packaging. At Spinea Navis’s discretion, defective parts can be replaced with new ones or repaired by Spinea Navis or its suppliers. The customer is also required to perform scheduled maintenance on the advertised device.

Spare Parts: It is essential to differentiate between spare parts installed/replaced during the warranty period and those replaced outside the warranty period. Spare parts installed/replaced during the warranty period are for repairing the goods, and the replaced parts do not carry a separate warranty period. The warranty remains attached to the product they are installed in.

  • Spare parts installed/replaced outside the warranty period are subject to a 24-month warranty

Spinea Navis and the trader explicitly exclude any liability for the impact on the product’s quality. The above-mentioned warranty does not replace liability. The product or its defects, including damages (resulting from machine failure or loss of income), expenses, or costs related to defects, are also excluded. The contract cannot be terminated, nor payments suspended (or reduced), as Spinea Navis’s obligation is limited to repairing and replacing parts under warranty.

Limitation of Liability: Spinea Navis is not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages, such as lost profits or business interruption, that may occur due to the use or inability to use our products or services.

Intellectual Property Rights: The buyer acknowledges and agrees that all intellectual property rights related to the products, including but not limited to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and any other proprietary rights, shall remain the exclusive property of the seller. The buyer is granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the products following the terms of this agreement. The buyer shall not reproduce, reverse engineer, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works based on the products, nor allow any third parties to do so, without the express written consent of the seller. Any unauthorized use, replication, or infringement of the seller’s intellectual property rights shall be considered a material breach of this agreement and may result in legal action.

Force Majeure: Force majeure events are unforeseen circumstances beyond our control that may affect our ability to fulfill our obligations, such as natural disasters or supply chain disruptions.

Governing Law and Venue: This agreement and any disputes arising out of or in connection with the sale shall be governed by and construed following the laws of the seller’s jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law principles. The parties hereby agree that any legal proceedings arising out of or relating to this agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts located within the seller’s jurisdiction, and the parties hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts to litigate any such dispute. By entering into this agreement, the parties agree to waive any objections to the venue or inconvenient forum, and they further agree to be subject to the personal jurisdiction of said courts.

Dispute Resolution: Both parties should first attempt to negotiate in good faith to resolve any disagreements. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter can be taken to the competent court in Zagreb.

Modifications: Committed to continuous product improvement, Spinea Navis reserves the right to make unannounced changes and modifications. In these instances, the buyer is not entitled to cancel the contract order.

Technical Documentation and Confidentiality: The buyer is granted a limited license to use the technical documentation provided by Spinea Navis for their own purposes. However, they must maintain the confidentiality of this information and not share it with unauthorized third parties.

Notices: All formal notices, requests, and other communications between the buyer and the seller under this agreement must be in writing and shall be deemed to have been duly given when personally delivered or sent via registered mail, return receipt requested, or via email to the designated address or email address of the respective parties. The parties may update their designated address or email address for notices by providing written notice of the change to the other party. The receipt of any such communication shall be acknowledged in writing by the receiving party. This provision ensures that all important communications between the buyer and the seller are properly received, documented, and acknowledged.

Confidentiality Clause: The parties agree that during their business relationship, they may access or become acquainted with each other’s Confidential Information, including trade secrets, financial information, customer and supplier details, business strategies, and technical documentation. Both parties commit to keeping such information confidential and protecting it from unauthorized disclosure or use.

Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that is publicly available, independently developed, rightfully received from a third party, or required to be disclosed by law. These obligations will last for five (5) years after the agreement’s expiration or termination.

In case of unauthorized disclosure or use of Confidential Information, the non-breaching party may seek legal remedies, including injunctive relief and monetary damages

General Terms and Conditions of Purchase

These General Terms and Conditions of Purchase govern all business transactions between Spinea Navis, hereinafter referred to as the “Buyer,” and enterprises, foundations, state-controlled organizations, companies, corporations, and legal entities (collectively, “Suppliers”) supplying goods and services to the Buyer. These Terms and Conditions shall have exclusive validity and precedence over any conflicting terms presented by the Supplier.

Modifications and Conflicting Terms – Individual agreements between Spinea Navis and the Supplier may modify or supersede these General Terms and Conditions of Purchase. The Buyer explicitly rejects the application of the Supplier’s terms and conditions. This rejection applies even if the Buyer does not expressly object to a reference to the Supplier’s terms and conditions, such as in an order confirmation or other communication.

Request for Quotations, Orders, and Confirmations: When the Buyer requests a quotation from the Supplier, including but not limited to a Request for Quotation or Invitation to Tender, the Buyer is not obligated by such a request. The Buyer is not responsible for any costs incurred by the Supplier in preparing or submitting a quotation unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Buyer only accepts content related to prices, payment terms, specific performance details, and delivery and performance dates from the quotation. Any reference to the Supplier’s General Terms and Conditions in the quotation is considered void.

The Buyer may submit written orders, which can also be sent via email or fax. The Supplier must promptly inform the Buyer if the order contains discrepancies or contradictions that could reasonably lead to concerns regarding the order’s execution meeting the Buyer’s or Buyer’s customer’s requirements. In such a case, the Supplier must provide the Buyer with a reasonable amount of time to reconsider and possibly modify the order.

The Supplier must confirm the orders within three working days in writing unless otherwise specified or immediately reject them if not otherwise obligated by an agreement with the Buyer to accept the placed order. If the Supplier does not confirm the order within the specified time, the Buyer reserves the right to cancel or modify the order without any consequences.

Pricing, Payment Terms, and Conditions: Unless otherwise agreed upon, prices are determined according to the accepted order. If no written agreement states otherwise, the price includes delivery free of charge to the specified address by DDP Incoterm 2010, including packaging. The return of packaging requires a separate agreement.

Payment terms are set at 60 days net following receipt of the invoice. Should the Buyer make an advance payment, it must be accompanied by a Bank Guarantee of an equal amount. The Buyer reserves the right to offset payments against any claims the Buyer may have against the Supplier.

Delivery, Risk, and Title Transfer: Unless otherwise agreed, the applicable Incoterm 2010 is DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to the destination. Deliveries may also be made to the Buyer’s customer’s site outside Germany or Europe.

The Transfer of Risk is by the provisions of the agreed Incoterm. However, if the contract requires installation at the site and/or commissioning, the risk is not transferred until the installation or commissioning, whichever is applicable based on the Supplier’s contractual obligations, has been
