Caballetes para veleros: apoyo de quilla y puntos de sustentación

Los caballetes para veleros no funcionan igual que los empleados en embarcaciones a motor. La quilla fija desplaza el centro de gravedad hacia la parte inferior del casco, lo que exige combinar soportes laterales bien angulados con un soporte de quilla dedicado. Respuesta rápida: ¿basta con caballetes para varar un velero?

No. Un velero en tierra necesita dos sistemas complementarios que actúan de forma conjunta: los caballetes laterales y el soporte de quilla. Prescindir de cualquiera de los dos supone un riesgo grave de vuelco o de deformación del casco.

A diferencia de una embarcación a motor, cuya carena es ancha y relativamente plana en la zona de apoyo, un velero lleva la mayor parte de su peso concentrado en la quilla, que puede representar entre el 35 % y el 50 % del desplazamiento total. Cuando se saca el barco del agua, ese peso desciende verticalmente sobre un apéndice estrecho que no ofrece superficie suficiente para estabilizarse por sí solo.

Los caballetes laterales evitan el escoramiento, pero no están diseñados para absorber la carga vertical de la quilla. Si se intenta apoyar el velero únicamente sobre caballetes colocados a ambos costados del casco, las fuerzas laterales resultantes pueden doblar los almohadillas, comprimir la fibra de vidrio en zonas no estructurales y, en casos extremos, provocar el vuelco de la embarcación.

Por qué los veleros exigen un planteamiento diferente

La geometría de un velero en tierra está gobernada por tres factores que no existen, o son mucho menos pronunciados, en las embarcaciones a motor: la quilla pesada y estrecha, el casco de sección en V profunda y la tendencia al escoramiento lateral.

Quilla pesada y estrecha. La quilla de plomo o hierro fundido actúa como lastre y estabilizador en el agua, pero en tierra se convierte en un elemento difícil de apoyar. Su anchura en la base puede ser tan solo de 5 a 15 cm en quillas de aleta (fin keel), lo que obliga a utilizar bloques de madera, calzos de goma o soportes metálicos regulables para distribuir la carga sin dañar el revestimiento.

Casco en V profunda. La mayoría de los veleros de quilla fija tienen una sección maestra muy pronunciada. Esto significa que el casco no tiene superficie plana sobre la que apoyarse: cualquier caballete lateral debe inclinarse hacia dentro siguiendo el ángulo del costado, normalmente entre 10° y 15° respecto a la vertical, para que el almohadilla quede bien asentado sin concentrar presión en un canto.

Tendencia al escoramiento. Sin la quilla sumergida que actúa como contrapeso, el velero tiende a escorarse hacia el lado de menor sujeción. Los caballetes laterales deben colocarse de forma simétrica y ajustarse con una ligera carga de compresión para contrarrestar este efecto. Un solo caballete mal ajustado puede iniciar un movimiento de balanceo que, en condiciones de viento o tráfico de vehículos en el varadero, acabe en un accidente.

Tipos de quilla y sus requisitos de apoyo

No existe un único tipo de quilla, y cada variante plantea retos distintos a la hora de varar. A continuación se describen los cinco tipos más frecuentes en veleros de recreo y charter, junto con sus necesidades de apoyo específicas.

Quilla de aleta (fin keel). Es la más habitual en veleros modernos de crucero y regata. Su base es estrecha (5–15 cm) y la transición con el casco puede ser abrupta. Requiere un soporte de quilla con pad de caucho o madera para proteger el revestimiento y absorber pequeñas irregularidades. La altura del soporte debe ajustarse con precisión para que el casco no descanse sobre la quilla de forma asimétrica.

Quilla con bulbo (bulb keel). Variante habitual en veleros de regata y semiocéanicos. El bulbo ensancha la base y baja el centro de gravedad, lo que facilita el apoyo vertical, pero la geometría curva del bulbo impide utilizar calzos planos. Es necesario un soporte con superficie de contacto conformada o, en su defecto, sacos de arena compactada bajo el bulbo para distribuir la carga de forma uniforme.

Quilla en ala (wing keel). Presenta aletas horizontales a ambos lados de la base. El apoyo debe realizarse sobre las aletas, no sobre el vértice central. Se requieren bloques de madera dura cortados a medida o calzos de goma de perfil específico. Un apoyo incorrecto sobre el vértice concentra toda la carga en un punto y puede dañar la laminación.

Quilla larga (long keel / full keel). Característica de veleros tradicionales y de crucero oceánico. Su base ancha y larga facilita el apoyo, pero la longitud obliga a colocar varios puntos de sustentación distribuidos a lo largo de la quilla para evitar la flexión. En esloras superiores a 12 m se recomienda al menos tres puntos de apoyo bajo la quilla.

Orza abatible (centerboard). La orza no es una quilla fija; es un apéndice retráctil alojado en una caja de orza integrada en el casco. Para varar un velero con orza, esta debe recogerse completamente antes de la varada. El apoyo se realiza sobre la carena, igual que en una embarcación a motor de casco plano, aunque suelen emplearse caballetes adicionales para compensar la menor estabilidad lateral. Hay que verificar que la caja de orza no quede sobre ningún punto de apoyo.

Posicionamiento lateral de caballetes en veleros

El posicionamiento de los caballetes laterales en un velero sigue criterios distintos a los aplicados en embarcaciones a motor. La sección en V del casco, la presencia de cadenotes y otros elementos estructurales obliga a seleccionar con cuidado los puntos de contacto.

Ángulo de inclinación. El caballete lateral debe inclinarse hacia el casco siguiendo su curvatura, de modo que el almohadilla quede tangente a la carena. Para la mayoría de los veleros de crucero, el ángulo correcto oscila entre 10° y 15° respecto a la vertical. Un caballete demasiado vertical apoyará solo el canto del almohadilla; uno excesivamente inclinado puede deslizarse hacia fuera bajo carga. Los caballetes regulables en ángulo de KIPAC permiten ajustar la inclinación sin herramientas especiales, lo que reduce el tiempo de posicionamiento en varadero.

Zonas de contacto aceptables. El pad debe colocarse sobre la carena estructural, preferiblemente en zonas reforzadas por mamparos o cuadernas. Como norma general, las posiciones más seguras son aproximadamente a un tercio de eslora desde la proa y a un tercio desde la popa, coincidiendo con los mamparos de colisión o las cuadernas maestras según el diseño de cada barco.

Zonas a evitar. Existen varias zonas donde nunca debe situarse un caballete lateral en un velero:

- Bajo los cadenotes (chainplates). Los cadenotes transmiten las cargas de la jarcia firme al casco. Colocar un caballete justo debajo de un cadenote puede generar fuerzas de compresión inesperadas sobre la laminación en esa zona, especialmente si el barco se mueve por viento o vibraciones de maquinaria en el varadero. - Sobre los imbornales y canales de cubierta (waterways). Son zonas de escasa laminación y pueden deformarse bajo carga puntual. - Sobre la quilla de balance (bilge keel) si la embarcación dispone de ella. Las quillas de balance están diseñadas para soportar el peso del barco en varada, pero deben emplearse junto con caballetes de apoyo, no como punto único. - Cerca de pasacascos o válvulas de fondo. El riesgo de dañar el sellado es elevado.

Material del almohadilla. El pad debe ser de caucho naval de al menos 20 mm de espesor, o de madera dura recubierta de caucho. Nunca metal sin protección en contacto directo con la fibra de vidrio o con el gelcoat, ya que produce marcas permanentes. Número de caballetes. Para veleros de hasta 10 m de eslora suelen bastar dos caballetes laterales (uno por costado). Entre 10 y 14 m se recomiendan cuatro. Soportes de quilla: materiales, altura y ajuste

El soporte de quilla es el elemento más crítico del sistema de varada de un velero. Su función es recibir la carga vertical de la quilla, distribuirla sobre el suelo del varadero y mantener la embarcación erguida sin que los caballetes laterales tengan que trabajar a compresión excesiva.

Materiales del soporte de quilla. Los materiales más utilizados son:

- Madera dura laminada (roble, iroko, azobe). Es la solución más extendida en varaderos tradicionales. Fácil de cortar a medida, absorbe vibraciones y no raya el revestimiento. Su principal limitación es que se deteriora con la humedad si no se mantiene correctamente. - Bloques de goma industrial. Ofrecen mayor amortiguación y son impermeables. Se usan habitualmente como capa superior de contacto sobre bloques de madera o soporte metálico. - Soporte metálico regulable. Es la solución que ofrece KIPAC: una base de acero S355 con husillo de ajuste y pad de caucho intercambiable. Ajuste de altura. La altura del soporte de quilla debe regularse de modo que el casco quede en su posición de flotación natural, o ligeramente más erguido si el velero tiene tendencia a proel (proa baja). Un error frecuente es colocar el soporte demasiado alto, lo que eleva la quilla más de lo necesario y obliga a los caballetes laterales a compensar con ángulos forzados.

Distribución de la carga. Para quillas de aleta corta, un único soporte de quilla bien dimensionado suele ser suficiente. Para quillas largas o en barcos de más de 12 m de eslora, se recomienda usar dos o tres soportes distribuidos a lo largo de la quilla para evitar la flexión del apéndice bajo su propio peso.

Errores frecuentes en la varada de veleros

La varada de un velero concentra más riesgos que la de una embarcación a motor precisamente porque su geometría es más exigente. A continuación se describen los errores más habituales que se observan en varaderos y que conviene evitar.

1. Varar el velero solo con caballetes, sin soporte de quilla. Es el error más grave y el más frecuente en propietarios sin experiencia. Los caballetes laterales no están dimensionados para absorber la carga vertical de la quilla. Con el tiempo, el barco puede inclinarse progresivamente hasta volcar, especialmente si hay rachas de viento o si alguien sube a bordo.

2. Caballetes laterales con ángulo incorrecto. Un caballete demasiado vertical concentra la carga en el canto inferior del almohadilla y puede marcar o deprimir la fibra de vidrio. Uno excesivamente abierto puede deslizarse hacia fuera si el suelo está húmedo o inclinado. Hay que ajustar el ángulo antes de cargar el caballete.

3. Pads de metal sin protección. Algunos varaderos utilizan caballetes de acero sin revestimiento o con el caucho desgastado. El contacto directo del metal con el gelcoat produce marcas que pueden requerir reparación costosa.

4. Caballete bajo los cadenotes. Como se explicó en la sección anterior, colocar un caballete justo debajo de un cadenote puede provocar daños estructurales silenciosos que no se detectan hasta que la quilla comienza a fallar.

5. Soporte de quilla desplazado lateralmente. Si el bloque o soporte de quilla no está centrado bajo la quilla, el velero quedará ligeramente escorado hacia un costado. Los caballetes del lado bajo trabajarán a compresión mayor y pueden ceder.

6. No verificar la nivelación antes de marcharse. Una vez posicionados todos los soportes, es imprescindible comprobar con un nivel que el velero está erguido en ambos planos (longitudinal y transversal) antes de abandonar el varadero. La posición puede variar ligeramente al retirar los eslingas del travel lift o del elevador hidráulico para barcos.

7. Varada prolongada sin revisión periódica. Durante el invernaje, los soportes de madera pueden asentarse, la madera puede pudrirse y los husillos de los caballetes metálicos pueden oxidarse. Se recomienda inspeccionar el sistema de apoyo al menos una vez al mes durante varadas superiores a cuatro semanas. Lista de verificación: varada correcta de un velero

Soporte de quilla instalado antes de soltar eslingas

El bloque o soporte de quilla debe estar en posición correcta y a la altura adecuada antes de que el elevador hidráulico o el travel lift libere la tensión de las eslingas. Nunca retirar las eslingas sin soporte de quilla en su lugar.

Tipo de quilla identificado y método de apoyo seleccionado

Confirmar si la embarcación tiene quilla de aleta, bulbo, ala, larga u orza abatible. Cada tipo requiere un soporte y un pad de contacto diferente. Revisar la documentación del astillero si hay dudas sobre el tipo de quilla.

Caballetes laterales con ángulo ajustado a la carena

El pad de cada caballete lateral debe quedar completamente en contacto con la carena, sin apoyar sobre un canto. Ajustar el ángulo del cabezal articulado antes de cargar el caballete y verificar que no hay deslizamiento.

Ningún caballete bajo cadenotes ni sobre imbornales

Comprobar la posición de los cadenotes de jarcia y marcar las zonas prohibidas antes de posicionar los caballetes. Verificar también que ningún soporte queda sobre canales de cubierta o pasacascos.

Pads de caucho en buen estado y sin deformaciones

Inspeccionar visualmente el caucho de cada almohadilla antes de la varada. Un almohadilla endurecido o con grietas no distribuye correctamente la carga. Reemplazar los almohadillas deteriorados antes de apoyar la embarcación.

Nivelación verificada en ambos planos tras la varada

Una vez retiradas las eslingas, comprobar con nivel de burbuja que el velero está erguido longitudinal y transversalmente. Ajustar la altura de los husillos si hay escora residual superior a 1°–2°.

Capacidad nominal de caballetes adecuada al desplazamiento

Verificar que la carga por caballete (desplazamiento total dividido entre todos los puntos de apoyo) no supera la capacidad nominal indicada por el fabricante. En caso de duda, emplear caballetes de mayor capacidad o añadir puntos de apoyo.

Inspección periódica durante varadas superiores a un mes

Programar revisiones mensuales de todos los soportes durante el invernaje. Comprobar asentamiento de bloques de madera, estado de los husillos y posible corrosión en los caballetes metálicos. Ajustar o sustituir los elementos que presenten signos de deterioro.

¿Puedo varar un velero de quilla de bulbo sin soporte especial?

No es recomendable usar un soporte plano estándar sobre la base curva de un bulbo. El contacto se reduce a un punto, lo que concentra toda la carga vertical en una zona muy pequeña y puede dañar el revestimiento o el metal del bulbo. La solución más habitual es colocar sacos de arena compactada conformados a la geometría del bulbo, o bien solicitar a KIPAC un adaptador de almohadilla específico para quilla de bulbo que distribuya la carga de forma uniforme sobre la superficie curva.

¿Cuántos caballetes laterales necesita un velero de 11 metros?

Para un velero de 11 m de eslora con quilla de aleta y desplazamiento típico de 6–9 t, se recomiendan cuatro caballetes laterales: dos delante y dos detrás del mástil, aproximadamente a un tercio de eslora desde cada extremo. Esta disposición garantiza que ninguna zona del casco soporta una carga excesiva y que el velero permanece estable ante ráfagas de viento o el movimiento de personal a bordo durante trabajos de mantenimiento.

¿Debo retirar el mástil antes de varar el velero?

No es imprescindible retirar el mástil para varar un velero, pero sí es una decisión habitual durante el invernaje prolongado para reducir el peso en altura y facilitar el trabajo en cubierta. Si el mástil permanece en su lugar, el centro de gravedad queda más alto y el velero puede ser ligeramente más sensible a los movimientos laterales. En ese caso conviene asegurarse de que los caballetes laterales estén bien ajustados y, si el varadero está en zona de viento fuerte, considerar la adición de vientos o cabos de seguridad ancladas al suelo.

¿Qué ocurre si la quilla de mi velero tiene un ángulo de raíz pronunciado (quilla integrada)?

Algunos veleros modernos tienen la quilla integrada en el casco con una transición suave en lugar de una raíz definida. En estos casos la quilla no tiene una base plana sobre la que apoyar directamente. El soporte de quilla debe colocarse en el punto más bajo de la carena donde la estructura sea sólida, normalmente en la zona de la sentina central. Se recomienda consultar el manual de varada del astillero constructor para localizar los puntos de apoyo indicados por el diseñador del barco.

¿Con qué frecuencia debo revisar los soportes durante el invernaje?

Para varadas de hasta cuatro semanas, una revisión al inicio y otra al final suele ser suficiente. Para invernajes de dos a seis meses, se recomienda inspeccionar los soportes al menos una vez al mes: verificar que no hay asentamiento de bloques de madera, que los husillos de los caballetes no han girado por vibración y que el nivel de la embarcación se mantiene. En varaderos en zonas con inviernos húmedos, la madera puede absorber agua y compactarse, reduciendo la altura de apoyo y transfiriendo más carga a los caballetes laterales.

¿Los caballetes KIPAC para veleros tienen documentación CE?

¿Puede un velero de quilla larga apoyarse solo sobre la quilla sin caballetes laterales?

Técnicamente una quilla larga ofrece más superficie de contacto que una quilla de aleta y el barco puede mantenerse erguido un tiempo sin caballetes, pero esto no se recomienda en ningún caso para varadas formales o prolongadas. Sin caballetes laterales, cualquier carga asimétrica (viento, lluvia acumulada en cubierta, personas subiendo a bordo) puede iniciar una escora que derive en vuelco. Shipping and Packaging: All machines undergo inspection, testing, and proper packaging before shipment. Certain machines may be delivered partially disassembled for storage or transportation purposes. Warranty: Spinea Navis provides a twenty-four-month warranty on new goods of its manufacture, starting from the delivery date. The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear of parts (subject to rapid and consistent wear), including filters, flails, bearings, wear stripes, belts, cables, hoses, transmission parts, etc.

During these twelve months, Spinea Navis d.o.o commits to replacing, free of charge, parts verified as defective by their technical and service department. Other costs, such as labour, transport, and packaging, remain the buyer’s responsibility.

Warranty Invalidation: The warranty is invalidated by:

  • Incorrect or improper use of the machine
  • Unauthorized modifications to the machine
  • User negligence or inexperience (e.g., not using original Spinea Navis  parts)
  • Insufficient service inspections and improper use under difficult conditions or inconsistent instructions due to unauthorized interventions
  • Using the machine in a manner not compliant with the instructions for use and maintenance
  • Using non-original spare parts
  • Using unspecified, non-prescribed lubricants
  • Failing to perform scheduled maintenance 
  • Repairs not conducted by an authorized workshop or interventions without prior permission from Spinea Navis 
  • Unauthorized electrical and/or mechanical changes
  • Damages due to loss of earnings, personal property, exchanges, or rents

The seller is not liable for any direct and/or indirect loss or damage, particularly concerning production loss due to machine failure resulting from improper use, unintended use, failure to perform inspections, and non-compliance with accident prevention laws. Such grounds are sufficient for the annulment and invalidation of any applicable warranty. During the machine’s inactivity period, the customer cannot claim compensation and/or reimbursement of costs and/or direct and/or indirect damage resulting from defects due to the aforementioned repairs and/or replacement. This also applies to damage caused by improper handling, storage, assembly, external influences, weather, or force majeure (e.g., natural disasters).

Replaced parts remain the property of the seller and must be returned to the buyer with postage and paid packaging. At Spinea Navis’s discretion, defective parts can be replaced with new ones or repaired by Spinea Navis or its suppliers. The customer is also required to perform scheduled maintenance on the advertised device.

Spare Parts: It is essential to differentiate between spare parts installed/replaced during the warranty period and those replaced outside the warranty period. Spare parts installed/replaced during the warranty period are for repairing the goods, and the replaced parts do not carry a separate warranty period. The warranty remains attached to the product they are installed in.

  • Spare parts installed/replaced outside the warranty period are subject to a 24-month warranty

Spinea Navis and the trader explicitly exclude any liability for the impact on the product’s quality. The above-mentioned warranty does not replace liability. The product or its defects, including damages (resulting from machine failure or loss of income), expenses, or costs related to defects, are also excluded. The contract cannot be terminated, nor payments suspended (or reduced), as Spinea Navis’s obligation is limited to repairing and replacing parts under warranty.

Limitation of Liability: Spinea Navis is not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages, such as lost profits or business interruption, that may occur due to the use or inability to use our products or services.

Intellectual Property Rights: The buyer acknowledges and agrees that all intellectual property rights related to the products, including but not limited to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and any other proprietary rights, shall remain the exclusive property of the seller. The buyer is granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the products following the terms of this agreement. The buyer shall not reproduce, reverse engineer, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works based on the products, nor allow any third parties to do so, without the express written consent of the seller. Any unauthorized use, replication, or infringement of the seller’s intellectual property rights shall be considered a material breach of this agreement and may result in legal action.

Force Majeure: Force majeure events are unforeseen circumstances beyond our control that may affect our ability to fulfill our obligations, such as natural disasters or supply chain disruptions.

Governing Law and Venue: This agreement and any disputes arising out of or in connection with the sale shall be governed by and construed following the laws of the seller’s jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law principles. The parties hereby agree that any legal proceedings arising out of or relating to this agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts located within the seller’s jurisdiction, and the parties hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts to litigate any such dispute. By entering into this agreement, the parties agree to waive any objections to the venue or inconvenient forum, and they further agree to be subject to the personal jurisdiction of said courts.

Dispute Resolution: Both parties should first attempt to negotiate in good faith to resolve any disagreements. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter can be taken to the competent court in Zagreb.

Modifications: Committed to continuous product improvement, Spinea Navis reserves the right to make unannounced changes and modifications. In these instances, the buyer is not entitled to cancel the contract order.

Technical Documentation and Confidentiality: The buyer is granted a limited license to use the technical documentation provided by Spinea Navis for their own purposes. However, they must maintain the confidentiality of this information and not share it with unauthorized third parties.

Notices: All formal notices, requests, and other communications between the buyer and the seller under this agreement must be in writing and shall be deemed to have been duly given when personally delivered or sent via registered mail, return receipt requested, or via email to the designated address or email address of the respective parties. The parties may update their designated address or email address for notices by providing written notice of the change to the other party. The receipt of any such communication shall be acknowledged in writing by the receiving party. This provision ensures that all important communications between the buyer and the seller are properly received, documented, and acknowledged.

Confidentiality Clause: The parties agree that during their business relationship, they may access or become acquainted with each other’s Confidential Information, including trade secrets, financial information, customer and supplier details, business strategies, and technical documentation. Both parties commit to keeping such information confidential and protecting it from unauthorized disclosure or use.

Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that is publicly available, independently developed, rightfully received from a third party, or required to be disclosed by law. These obligations will last for five (5) years after the agreement’s expiration or termination.

In case of unauthorized disclosure or use of Confidential Information, the non-breaching party may seek legal remedies, including injunctive relief and monetary damages

General Terms and Conditions of Purchase

These General Terms and Conditions of Purchase govern all business transactions between Spinea Navis, hereinafter referred to as the “Buyer,” and enterprises, foundations, state-controlled organizations, companies, corporations, and legal entities (collectively, “Suppliers”) supplying goods and services to the Buyer. These Terms and Conditions shall have exclusive validity and precedence over any conflicting terms presented by the Supplier.

Modifications and Conflicting Terms – Individual agreements between Spinea Navis and the Supplier may modify or supersede these General Terms and Conditions of Purchase. The Buyer explicitly rejects the application of the Supplier’s terms and conditions. This rejection applies even if the Buyer does not expressly object to a reference to the Supplier’s terms and conditions, such as in an order confirmation or other communication.

Request for Quotations, Orders, and Confirmations: When the Buyer requests a quotation from the Supplier, including but not limited to a Request for Quotation or Invitation to Tender, the Buyer is not obligated by such a request. The Buyer is not responsible for any costs incurred by the Supplier in preparing or submitting a quotation unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Buyer only accepts content related to prices, payment terms, specific performance details, and delivery and performance dates from the quotation. Any reference to the Supplier’s General Terms and Conditions in the quotation is considered void.

The Buyer may submit written orders, which can also be sent via email or fax. The Supplier must promptly inform the Buyer if the order contains discrepancies or contradictions that could reasonably lead to concerns regarding the order’s execution meeting the Buyer’s or Buyer’s customer’s requirements. In such a case, the Supplier must provide the Buyer with a reasonable amount of time to reconsider and possibly modify the order.

The Supplier must confirm the orders within three working days in writing unless otherwise specified or immediately reject them if not otherwise obligated by an agreement with the Buyer to accept the placed order. If the Supplier does not confirm the order within the specified time, the Buyer reserves the right to cancel or modify the order without any consequences.

Pricing, Payment Terms, and Conditions: Unless otherwise agreed upon, prices are determined according to the accepted order. If no written agreement states otherwise, the price includes delivery free of charge to the specified address by DDP Incoterm 2010, including packaging. The return of packaging requires a separate agreement.

Payment terms are set at 60 days net following receipt of the invoice. Should the Buyer make an advance payment, it must be accompanied by a Bank Guarantee of an equal amount. The Buyer reserves the right to offset payments against any claims the Buyer may have against the Supplier.

Delivery, Risk, and Title Transfer: Unless otherwise agreed, the applicable Incoterm 2010 is DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to the destination. Deliveries may also be made to the Buyer’s customer’s site outside Germany or Europe.

The Transfer of Risk is by the provisions of the agreed Incoterm. However, if the contract requires installation at the site and/or commissioning, the risk is not transferred until the installation or commissioning, whichever is applicable based on the Supplier’s contractual obligations, has been
